Save the Date - Think Outside ..... Online event December 11th 2020

To promote the practice approach of developmental work through the outdoors with young people and families, and to further engage practitioners, students and academics alike, we will be hosting this interactive online event, exploring contemporary discourse around the topic of youth and family support through the outdoors. This event will provide an opportunity for all key stakeholders and invested parties to gather for a day of learning, upskilling, and information sharing, while also experiencing the power and value that the outdoor natural environment has to offer. While everyone working with children, young people and families are welcome to attend, we are specifically hoping to target social care, family support and youth workers from across the Connaught region, engaging families living in disadvantage or young people with challenging behaviour.

As such, we are delighted to be working with Galway Autism Partnership delivering an after school programme with their teen group, supporting participants to explore the outdoors while learning a little about themselves, others and the world around them.

During our most recent personal development programme, participants were able to explore their local area within a fun, challenging, social, educational and safe environment. We are delighted to be able to provide these much needed interventions during such challenging times.
