Read MoreAll through the spring months Venture Out will be delivering our much needed Unearth 1:1 support service to young people from across the western region.
Each session involves the young person undertaking an outdoor adventure with a trained and qualified Venture Out guide, to explore the outdoor environment while accessing support around the issues that are affecting them.
We are delighted to be able to team up with local social care services in the ground to identify and engage those most in need. Thanks to the National Lottery and The Ireland Funds for their support in delivering these types of supports in our area.

While alot has changed during this time, perhaps one of the few positives to come from the last few years is the recognition that nature and outdoors can have a hugely positive impact on our health and wellbeing, and needs to be promoted and protected.

Read MoreVenture Out would like to extend a big thank you to Galway County Council for their granting of funding to help us with insurance costs over the past 12 months.
This funding now allows us re direct funds towards the delivery of programmes that directly benefit young people and families form disadvantaged areas and marginalised communities.

Read MoreThe count down is on to the start of our Teen Urban Adventure Project taking place in Doughiska over the coming months. We are really looking forward to getting started and meeting the young people.
The group will meet for a 10 week period, exploring natural areas within their local community, learning all about the outdoor environment, undertaking a range of outdoor activity challenges to help them work towards an end of term expedition.
Thanks to Galway Sports Partnership, ARD family Resource Centre and the Applegreen Blossum fund for all their support getting this project off the ground.
