Barry has worked in the outdoor industry for over 15 years, instructing and leading adventure activities within a wide range of disciplines.

Before settling back to Ireland 10 years ago, Barry spent many years teaching adventure sports in places such as Honduras, Mexico, Asia and South America. On returning home, Barry gained further outdoor lead qualifications in mountaineering, climbing, kayaking and surfing. Having achieved a MA in Family Support (NUIG), Diploma in Youth & Community Development (NUIG), Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy (PCI College), and more recently a level 3 Forest School Leader qualification, Barry has also undertaken training in Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy techniques.
