Expedition Preparation - So much to Learn in the Planning

We’re almost set for our two upcoming expeditions taking place in the coming weeks.

Lots of planning goes into each trip, with participants playing a key role in preparing for the equipment, food and materials that they will need for each journey.

Each trip helps fine tune their decision making and problem solving skills and tests their ability to organise and plan out daily activities and challenges.

We’re looking forward to supporting all participants overcome the challenges they will inevitably face while out in the wild.

There is great learning in making mistakes, and of course we learn way more about ourselves when we venture out of the comfort zone!

Teen Urban Adventure Programmes

One of the most interesting parts of delivering our programmes at this time of the year is watching how much our natural surroundings change from one week to the next. The kids noticed the difference last week with one commenting that everything looked greener.

There are loads of lessons to be learned and teaching moments available to facilitators when delivering projects in nature. The fact that everything is constantly changing and never stays the same is a good lesson from young people to learn early on…….it can sometimes mean that bad times don’t always stay that way and they often improve with time, while good times don’t always last forever so its important to enjoy them while you are in the moment!

Photos taken below only four weeks apart!
